SAD MAD GLAD LIVE!
Based on the first two award-winning Sad, Mad, Glad books (Four Dolphins Press) by WV authors Chuck Stump and Jim Strawn, Sad, Mad, Glad Live! is a 40-minute, interactive musical available for performances at schools, community centers, community events, libraries, churches, and other suitable venues for target audiences of grades 2–5 and their families.
Adapted by playwright Joey Madia and composer Knight Berman, Jr., Sad, Mad, Glad Live! explores emotions and character education using body idioms like “Nose to the Grindstone,” “Heart of Gold,” “I’m All Ears,” and, of course, “Break a Leg!” Audience members answer questions, share their experiences, and participate with the actors in several other ways.
Featuring three songs performed by an energetic and talented cast of two teens, Sad, Mad, Glad Live! is sure to entertain as well as educate!
Cost per performance is $250, with maximum audience size of 150.
